總統當選人、民進黨主席蔡英文表示，執政會找到社會最大的共同點，拜訪政黨領導人希望建立平台，解決許多瀕臨危機狀態的議題。
蔡英文今天向宋楚瑜請益國政，蔡宋兩人會談議題包括內政、外交等方向，但雙方定調「非政黨對談」，民進黨希望透過會談請益，終結政治對立，讓國家走向團結。 會談預定進行一個半小時，會後將在召開記者會說明內容。
